ARTICLE IN FINANSAVISEN

Based on the article published in Finansavisen on Friday 19th August 2011, the Board of DOF ASA wants to emphasize the following statement regarding purchase of the vessel “Skandi Waveney” in December 2008:

In principle DOF ASA was a minority shareholder in the company that bought the vessel. The Board considered this as appropriate at that time. However DOF ASA did agree an option to buy the shares from related parties, included the shares owned by Helge Møgster and Mons Aase, at a fixed price independent of the development in fair market value of the vessel. DOF ASA did not have such an option against external shareholders, however DOF ASA could via this option control more than 50%. DOF ASA declared its option after a period of approx. 15 months. Helge Møgster and Mons Aase who were mentioned in Finansavisen achieved a gain each of NOK 360 000 (corresponding 8% return per annum).

The Board is today satisfied that it was possible to complete the acquisition of the vessel despite a difficult market situation in December 2008.
