Vegas was lucky for Jed Smith who took home $250,000
GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. (December 2, 2011) – Jed Smith from Galloway, N.J., is the grand prize winner of the “Race in to Win” sweepstakes, sponsored by Dollar General and NASCAR.
“This is unbelievable,” exclaimed Smith. “I can’t believe I won! I felt like I was already a winner by winning a trip to Vegas! This is incredible!”
Smith’s name was selected in a random drawing among the “Race in to Win” sweepstakes' 10 finalists. He was named the grand prize winner on-stage in front of hundreds of NASCAR fans at the Coca-Cola Fan Zone at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas.
Smith is an IT administrator and dad to a 16-month-old baby. He plans to use the money for his child’s education.
“This will be used to build my child’s future,” said Smith.
Dollar General and NASCAR sponsored the “Race in to Win” sweepstakes in stores and online from Aug. 28 through Nov. 12, 2011. The sweepstakes awarded thousands of prizes to Dollar General customers and fans.
