Dolphin adds fast storage to their high performance offering

StorExpress provides high capacity solid state storage to further increase the performance of MySQL and other database applications

Dolphin Interconnect Solutions ASA today announced a brand new product line named StorExpress. StorExpress is a PCI Express based solid state storage system designed to deliver superior response times and storage capacity. This new product family builds on the same technology as the current interconnect products and consolidates the storage provided by third party SSD adapters into a single storage pool. Further enhancements include disaggregating storage at long distances and the ability to combine high performance clustering with storage in the same physical unit.

The first products are available in .5 TB and 1 TB configurations and the company are taking orders for delivery in early April.
