At the MySQL Conference in Santa Clara and the Oracle User Group Conference in Denver this week Dolphin Dolphin will issue two press releases on recent benchmark studies performed by MySQL experts using dolphin Express on MySQL cluster and by Hewlett-Packard(HP) using Dolphin express on Oracle RAC. The benchmarks show above 700 and 400% improvement over ethernet respectively.

Commenting on the MySQL results, Zack Urlocker, vice president of products, Database Group, Sun Microsystems said `MySQL and Dolphin have a strong history of optimizing MySQL Cluster performance with Dolphin`s high-performance interconnect solutions. The expanded Dolphin Express offering shows  great benchmark results for both clustered and non-clustered MySQL configurations further underscoring MySQL`s strength as the database-of-choice for high-volume Web sites and other online applications.`

Commenting on the Oracle Rac results, Todd Mattershead, group manager of ProLiant Product Development at HP said `This impressive benchmark further illustrates the power and versatility of the HP ProLiant server family versus competitive platforms, as well as the powerful combination of HP ProLiant servers and a low latency interconnect provided by Dolphin Express.`

Also at the Oracle Conference, Dolphin will publish a whitepaper on the recent benchmarks using Dolphin Express on a HP ProLiant cluster. All material will be available on the company`s homepage www.dolphinics.com shortly.
