Dolphin`s cooperates with Sun to interface SuperSockets with Solaris for transparent high-speed communication in clusters.

Dolphin Interconnect Solutions ASA has agreed with Sun Microsystems to interface Dolphin`s SuperSockets communication library with Sun`s Solaris operating system. The project is based on Dolphin`s advanced software architecture for high peed  communication for scalable clusters. Dolphin`s SuperSockets software is used in performance demanding applications in clusters for transaction processing, database, electronic design automation, simulators, and telecom applications worldwide. SuperSockets is compliant with the industry standard sockets interface and allows all  networking software to utilize Dolphin`s ultra-low latency and high bandwidth interconnect hardware.

The Dolphin SuperSockets library is specifically targeted at applications requiring efficient inter-process communication with high volumes of short transactions. With Dolphin SuperSockets, all applications communicating through common network protocols  (TCP/UDP/RDS/IP) need no modifications to take full advantage of the Dolphin hardware, offering users a major improvement in performance and scalability.
