MYSQL TO REPORT RECORD CLUSTER DATABASE TEST WITH SUPERSOCKETS AND DOLPHIN CARDS

In a press announcement scheduled to be relased at
the MySQL Conference in Santa Clara Thursday, April
26th (Calif time), MySQL will announce results of a
cluster database bechmark test conducted in
collaboration with Intel and Dolphin attaining a
record high rate of 100 000 transactions per minute
using Dolphin cards and SuperSockets on an 8-node
dual core Xeon processor based cluster.

In the announcement, MySQL reports `the new
Dolphin Express adapter cards delivered a low
latency and high-performance connection between
cluster nodes.
This solutions had a very high impact on response
times within the cluster, leading to a more than
three-fold improvement in some tests - with an
incredible boost in throughput, especially in
larger clusters.`
