DORO and Allgon Microwave sign wireless broadband agreement

DORO and Allgon Microwave sign wireless broadband agreement. DORO, the Lund-based telecommunications company listed on the OM Stockholm Exchange's OTC-list, has reached an agreement with Allgon Microwave through DORO's subsidiary Upgrade Communication AB. The agreement concerns Allgon's new radio-link concept, the Allgon Ethernet Radio Switch. An initial order of SEK 11 million has been made by Upgrade Communication. The UpGrade Group will be distributing products in Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Norway Finland and Estonia. "Wireless broadband is an increasing part of DORO. Our product suite, that together gives us the possibility of creating complete wireless solutions, is significantly enhanced by the agreement with Allgon. DORO can offer customers a quick and easy way to link two Ethernet networks that are far apart, and have a larger bandwidth, via a wireless connection," says Claes Bühler, the DORO Group's CEO. "The agreements strengthens our position on the system integrator market in Scandinavia. We see an increasing demand for Ethernet solutions and our Ethernet Radio Switch is a very competitive product," says, Stefan Wellenstam, President of Allgon Microwave. Allgon's Ethernet Radio Switch provides direct Ethernet connection without any conversion of the Ethernet signal. The radio has a bandwidth of up to 36 Mbps and has port-based VLAN functionality of up to four channels. Additionally one to four 2 Mbps signals can be simultaneously connected for telephony transmission. End-users are primarily municipalities, public authorities and companies, which will use Allgon's new concept in microwave radio - the Allgon Ethernet Radio Switch - for wireless wideband transfer of data and telephony.
