DORO's Annual General Meeting DORO, the Lund-based telecommunications company listed on the OM Stockholm Stock Exchange's OTC list held its Annual General Meeting today. It was attended by 300 people. Business assessment CEO Claes Bühler made an assessment of the current business situation in his speech to the meeting. Several factors have had a positive impact on results: * Acquisitions, which pro forma add SEK 376 million to the reported sales of SEK 1,183 million * The international launch of switchboards and wireless broadband * The launch of cordless telephones and terminal products Two factors had a dampening effect: * Shortage of components * The strong US dollar. Providing that the component shortage does not worsen and the US dollar does not rise too high, Claes Bühler forecasts a volume increase in 2000 of around 30% due to the acquisitions and some organic growth, and a similar increase in profits. Claes Bühler also forecasts that Q1 will see lower profits than the same period last year, due to the fact that last year's excellent profits in the UK are unlikely to be repeated and because exchange rates were more favourable last year. Board of Directors elected The following were elected to the Board: Rune Andersson Claes Bühler Lars-Olof Hjalmar Ulf Körner Mats Ljunggren Joen Magnusson Lars-Olof Hjalmar was re-elected as chairman of the Board at the Board's inaugural meeting. The Board's fee was set at SEK 480,000. Dividend The dividend was set at SEK 2 per share, as proposed by the Board. The record day will be 17 March 2000 and payment should take place on 22 March 2000. Forthcoming financial information The report for Q1 will be published on 17 April, for Q2 (the interim report) on 17 July and Q3 on 16 October. The financial statement will be released on 25 January 2001 and the Annual General Meeting will be held on 14 March 2001.
