Atmospheric water company Drupps has for the second time been awarded a spot on 33-listan, a prestigious annual ranking of Swedish tech startups with potential of reaching a billion dollar valuation, published by tech weekly NyTeknik.

–We are honoured to be on this prestigious list for the second time and we enjoy the attention and legitimacy it gives to sustainable and scalable atmospheric water production which we believe will be playing an increasingly important role in society’s transitioning to sustainable water that lies ahead of us, says Peter Silfwerbrand, CEO at Drupps.

This is Drupps’s second appearance on 33-listan (“List of 33”), a ranking which aims to highlight Swedish tech startups with potential to reach a billion dollar valuation, published by Swedish tech weekly NyTeknik on October 21. Previous companies to have appeared on this ranking include Spotify (music streaming), Einride (driverless trucks), and iZettle (fintech).

–Obviously water is a huge market globally and new sustainable water technologies which are projected to make an impact there, such as Drupps with its model for scalable atmospheric water production using thermal energy, are very likely to reach valuations in line with those of other industries transitioning toward more sustainability, such as renewable energy or foodtech, says Peter Silfwerbrand.
