Duroc completes the acquisition of Universal Power Nordic

Duroc has today completed the acquisition of Universal Power Nordic (UPN), announced on 31 May 2018.

UPN, with operations in Sweden and Norway, is a leading supplier of diesel engines for industrial and marine applications. The company also offers service, replacement parts and technical support to the market. Product offerings include strong brands such as Perkins, Kubota, Kohler and Lombardini.

The company, which in 2017 had revenue of MSEK 130 and an operating profit of MSEK 6, has 40 employees in Sweden and Norway. The company is headquartered in Skänninge, Sweden, where the company also maintains a spare parts warehouse and a shop for rebuilding engines, testing, service and special adaptations based on customer needs.

Customers are found in several segments, such as construction, farming, forest industry, power generation and marine industries.

This acquisition strengthens the level of profitability in Duroc’s business area Industrial Trading, which including UPN will approach annual revenue of MSEK 500.

The purchase price amounts to approximately MSEK 24 for the net assets and is financed by internal funds.
