Dustin signs sustainability linked credit facility

Report this content

Dustin's current credit facility of approximately SEK 5 billion, which was entered into at the beginning of October 2021, will be converted into a sustainability-linked loan (ESG - Environmental, Social and Governance). This means that the credit is clearly linked to the outcome of the company's sustainability work. Dustin's goals for 2030 include being climate neutral throughout the value chain and being fully circular.

The credit facility continues to strengthen Dustin's financial flexibility and includes incentives for a successful sustainability work. If the company meets the sustainability criteria (KPIs), it leads to an annual interest discount. If the company does not reach the KPIs, the annual interest expenses increase.

- We have set clear goals for our sustainability work and it is integrated in the entire business, therefore it is natural to clearly link the outcome of the work to our financing. With our size, we want, can, and shall take responsibility and we have a great opportunity to drive a positive development in our industry. In addition, we also see that our focus on sustainability gives us new business opportunities, says Thomas Ekman President and CEO at Dustin.

The agreement has been entered into with a banking club consisting of Handelsbanken, Nordea and Swedbank with Swedbank as the loan and sustainability coordinator. Dustin will report the KPIs annually in Dustin's annual and corporate responsibility report, where compliance is verified by Dustin's external auditors.

Background facts

KPIs that affect the interest rate mechanism

  1. Climate impact: Kg CO2 / Deliveries from Dustin's central warehouse to customer
  2. Circularity: Number of recovered devices (PCs, tablets and phones)
