New national firm to lead clients on innovative and creative advocacy strategies

WASHINGTON – July 12, 2012 -- A diverse group of experienced public affairs professionals has formed a new national public affairs firm called “Agenda.”

Agenda is directed by three partners, each known for their organizational leadership and pioneering work in their fields: Craig Pattee, former president of Dutko Worldwide and pioneer of the practice of engaging governors on federal issues; Doug Turner, former chief executive of DW Turner, the largest southwestern public affairs firm, and an expert on state and national political strategies; and Max Hamel, former partner at Allied Public Affairs, with a reputation as one of the most effective organizers of multi-state public affairs campaigns in the nation.

They have assembled a tight-knit group of political and communications operatives from both sides of the aisle along with experienced corporate public affairs professionals who share a knack for creativity, innovation and winning campaigns.

“Agenda’s mission is to take a fresh approach to advocacy in the U.S.,” explains Craig Pattee. “We built a team of professionals who lead the field in strategy, execution and results that will directly impact our client’s success.”

“Agenda has capacity to easily manage full-scale corporate campaigns in all 50 states while at the same time maintaining the agility of a small firm where clients get cutting edge service from agency principals,” said Doug Turner.

Max Hamel adds, “Advocacy isn’t just relationship driven anymore. Lobbying will always play a role but more and more, additional voices are needed to win tough fights. That will be Agenda’s focus.”

Agenda will
specialize in five core areas:

  • Advocacy and Grassroots
  • Strategic Communication
  • Bilingual and multicultural programs
  • Digital and Creative Services
  • Issues Management

Agenda has assembled smart, bi-partisan, hard-working and highly creative talent in each discipline from around the country. Other Agenda leadership include:
