Third edition of the amateur photo competition along the E1 and R1 long-distance trails calls on Europe's hikers and cyclists to send in their entries

The third edition of the E1|R1 Photo Award, organized by Lippe Tourismus und Marketing GmbH (LTM), Detmold, has been running since October 15. Even under difficult corona conditions, the European hiking and photo community shows what it is made of with strong motifs from all over Europe. Nevertheless, the competition is also feeling the effects of the ongoing Corona pandemic. "In demand this particular year are the national hikers and cyclists in the 16 European countries through which the two long-distance trails run. This is because unrestricted vacation travel this year has been concentrated in the approximately 3-4 months of summer," explains Günter Weigel, managing director of LTM. "The submission deadline has now been extended to March 15, 2021, in order to see as many more exciting and spectacular photos as possible in the competition," adds Weigel.
