E2Home Appoints Per Grunewald as President Per Grunewald, formerly Senior VP of New and Future Business Development at Electrolux is appointed President of E2 Home. Torbjörn Nilsson, member of executive committee of Ericsson AB and responsible for Ericsson's market and strategies, will be Chairman for the Board for the company. E2 Home - Ericsson and Electrolux Joint Venture, appoints more top talent to management team and begins to develop services and relationships with operators and content providers. E2 Home will deliver a strong business concept, coupled with deep knowledge of the market and consumer relationship experience. E2 places the consumer at the forefront of any developments and builds services based on the consumer's needs, not on ability to produce products and then "sell" them to that consumer. Per Grunewald, stresses that "the focus on the consumer is key to the development of the right services with the ability to enhance and simplify our lives." Products, which are expected later this year, will include a set of electronic services with high value for the household, among them, Home Shopping, Meal Planning, Appliance Control, and Family Communications. The offering will also include communication modules for the appliance industry as well as developments on a remotely managed service gateway for the home and several different, easy-to-use touch screens for use in the kitchen environment. E2 Home has also recruited the following top talent to the management team. Per Ljunggren, formerly leading electronic development at Electrolux, will head up Embedded Module development at E2 Home. His core responsibilities will be to develop and market communications modules for appliances and promote communications standards in the industry. Björn Engstrom, previously with Ericsson Telecom AB, will focus on the relationship with all types of operators including service providers. Bjorn will create the business model for E2 Home and will be responsible for setting up and maintaining strategic partnerships with key Operators and ISP's. Björn says "Creating a fruitful business relationships with Operators and ISP's is key to E2 Home's future success." E2 Home, a Joint Venture started by Ericsson and Electrolux, is a service integrator to provide households with a simple and robust electronic platform in an emerging market with great potential, where only recently, the kitchen has come into focus as being one of the last great opportunities for data communication products.
