Eastnine's S7-1 property in Vilnius has been awarded the BREEAM In-Use Outstanding environmental certification. S7-1 thereby becomes the second building in the Baltics to receive the highest rating within BREEAM.

BREEAM In-Use certification is applied to existing buildings, as opposed to New Construction which refers to buildings that have just been completed. BREEAM In-Use is an environmental assessment method that enables property investors, owners and managers to identify and drive sustainable improvements to the operational performance of their buildings. It provides benchmarking and assurance of sustainability for all building types. The rating for S7-1 refers to the assessment of the property’s performance. The assessment is valid for three years until October 2024. When the property was completed in 2017 it achieved BREEAM New Construction Excellent certification. There is at present only one other building in the Baltics with an Outstanding assessment for BREEAM In-Use.

"The fact that one of Eastnine's properties has received BREEAM Outstanding is yet another signal of how seriously we take our sustainability work. The properties should not only maintain a high level of sustainability upon completion, it’s equally important to be able to certify previously uncertified properties or to improve existing certification levels”, says Kestutis Sasnauskas.

S7-1, which was acquired by Eastnine in 2019, is part of a group of four S7 properties, of which Eastnine owns the first three. The building houses more than 12,000 sq.m. of lettable area spread over six floors. During construction, the aim was to provide each workplace with as much natural light as possible. Another basic principle has been that the employee is more important than the workplace. Eastnine receives very high ratings for most of the categories, among them: health and wellbeing, energy and resources. Danske Bank rents the whole property.
