Manitowish Waters, WI – July 11, 2011-- Eagle Business Institute (EBI) – a WI - based business that advances the business skills of the Millennial Generation through an intensive 13 week immersion program. Talent is the number one factor in the success of most corporations and the fierce global competition to acquire, develop and retain that talent is a real danger to their future. EBI helps businesses to effectively compete for, develop, and retain their next generation of young leaders.

The mission of EBI is to transform loyal and energetic young employees into entrepreneurial thinkers and business leaders. EBI endows its students with the strategic thinking, project management, executive, and business skills necessary to improve business performance and results.

EBI boosts the performance of small and medium sized Wisconsin businesses. Today’s businesses operate with lean management teams who are required to juggle all of the responsibilities of running their businesses. This leaves little or no capacity to take on new initiatives or opportunities, whether big or small. It also leaves little time to develop depth in the pool of junior and middle managers who are crucial to the company’s success.

Businesses are finding that their millennial employees may be energetic and loyal but do not yet have a grasp on the core business concepts to take on managerial responsibilities and have a positive impact on results. These top achievers have gained a unique level of understanding of the company operations and culture. Today’s medium sized businesses don’t have the resources and time to train and mentor everything this next generation requires. Consequently, these companies are not able to transform the loyalty and self-motivation of their best employees into the positive managerial building blocks for the future.

EBI transforms candidates into leaders by teaching the practical application of solid business principles to real opportunities. Through learning these critical thinking processes, they bring more value, are in a position to assume more organizational responsibility, and will spur innovation.

To ensure the best possible outcomes, EBI closely gauges student performance using an immersive learning process, indoctrinating students with all of the entrepreneurial attributes that drive business decision making success. It results in an individual being able to take on responsibilities that will support long term success of their company, responsibilities that this individual might otherwise never achieve.

EBI is an in-residency, process oriented training course that is “project” specific. The real value of the program is to teach entrepreneurial skills as a process and then apply these skills to a specific project or mission for their company. The student learns all of the facets of properly thinking through a project while at the same time learning skills that support sound leadership. Examples of projects or missions include; launching a new product, reducing the cost of or improving a production process, improving a returns process, or opening a new territory. This mission would be given to the EBI candidate, by their employer, as an expectation of the program.

As EBI is project driven, there is a great deal of pressure on each student to take the business principles being taught, synthesize them and immediately apply them to their company specific projects and missions. The students and their projects are monitored for progress multiple times each week allowing several opportunities for public speaking, presentations, critical thinking and valuable feedback. Additionally, EBI encourages regular communication with their sponsor to ensure that they are tracking with their employer and be able to hit the ground running when they return.

Students work with seasoned business professionals and senior management consultants who use their skills everyday to help companies run their very best. Engaging in small group settings, students focus on the application of new skills to their very specific project or opportunity. EBI students have a unique opportunity to work with seasoned leaders, likeminded peers, project managers, as well as learning, work-life balance and business coaches.

EBI is a game changing opportunity for Wisconsin businesses to develop and retain management talent in today’s hyper-competitive marketplace. EBI’s management welcomes the opportunity to meet face to face with senior management and human resource executives, at their offices, to explain the benefits and mechanics of the EBI program.
