Maximise your hand priming, minimise fatigue!

Homeloaders wanting to hand prime their brass cases with maximum efficiency and the correct leverage while minimising fatigue will benefit from Hornady’s new Hand Priming Tool.

Distributed by Edgar Brothers, the UK’s largest wholesaler of firearms and ammunition, the portable tool primes new or cleaned cases and works on a pliers-style design. This gives plenty of leverage so that any reloader can seat primers with ease and comfort regardless of their hand strength.

The tool, which is made of machined aluminium with a cast handle and steel pins guaranteeing robustness and longevity, also gives greater feel than that achieved with a priming attachment on a press. This means the primer can be accurately seated rather than overseated or even crushed.

The tray fed tool can load both large and small primers and works with Hornady and RCBS shellholders thanks to an included adapter. Primers are simply tipped into an attached plastic lidded tray, which incorporates built in ridges to flip the primers the correct way round.

Stuart Anselm, the 2011 European F T/R Champion and Secretary at Diggle Ranges, commented: “Hornady’s Hand Priming Tool is an excellent piece of equipment that makes reloading easy, accurate and far less tiring. Knowing that a primer has been correctly seated will also give shooters greater confidence in the consistency and accuracy of their ammunition.”
