Edgewise Media Expands Evaluated Tape Production to Ease HD Cam SR Tape Shortage

Burbank, California, March 24th, 2010 – Edgewise Media has responded to the sudden shortage of broadcast video tape by increasing investment in tape re-certification to boost supply.  The recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan severely disrupted broadcast video tape and data media production at the Sony factory located in Sendai, Japan.  Edgewise Media, a pioneer in the re-certification of broadcast video tape, has made additional purchases of the latest in HDCAM-SR tape evaluation technology from RTI-Research Technology International, to increase the amount of quality tape stock available
