Wicket Gaming – Operational Update October

Report this content

We are approaching the month of November and it is time for a new operational update.

Name change and interview with Peter Vesterbacka

As everyone knows, Wicket Gaming is about to transform into an Edtech company with its own game titles. The name change will be decided at an extraordinary general meeting on November 7. On the same day, we will hold an interview with the Rovio icon Peter "Mighty Eagle" Vesterbacka about the potential of the Edtech industry. The interview will be available on our website.

New assignments in Germany

Our German subsidiary Wegesrand (ed-tech segment) continues to deliver positive news and to gain market share. We were recently able to press release that Wegesrand received a new assignment from the German state worth approximately SEK 3.4 million. The project has the working name "TheaDiPolis" and the aim is to increase citizen participation in the German city of Arnsberg through playful platforms. In addition to this, Wegesrand has continuously received a series of additional assignments, so-called add-ons, to existing projects. In addition to pure consulting assignments, Wegesrand also creates platforms that in the future will provide monthly license income, more on that below.

King Royale - target date for publishing deal set

Since the last status update, King Royale has received the important "Gacha" system. This is an important milestone and a breakthrough in the development work. Within a few days we will also push monetization updates into the game. With these updates, we expect even stronger KPIs. Above all, we aim to strengthen retention (returning players) on day 7. We are currently at around 6.7–7% and need to get it up to around 8.5–9%. For those of you who haven't downloaded King Royale, it's high time you test the game. It is available on both AppStore and Playstore. According to many, the game is very "addictive", which creates good conditions for it to reach a wide audience.

Legend of Slime is a successful Idle game that we benchmark against. The fact that Legend of Slime generates around 30 million in revenue per month testifies that other similar games can also generate large revenue.

On December 15, 2023, we will have a publishing deal in place for King Royale.

Tank Operations

Tank Operations is an in-house developed title for which we have already found a publishing deal with 2tainment. We expect the game to be able to be launched on the STEAM platform on January 15, 2024. Our publisher 2tainment, which manages the entire marketing of Tank Operations, will shortly notify us of expected revenue forecasts for the years 2024 and 2025.

Rail Experience

No later than January 31, 2024, we will release our Rail Experience platform. The platform is a digital training platform with gamification elements that supports the training of locomotive drivers and maintenance personnel. It conveys teaching content in a virtual 3D environment and is adaptable to each student. The product is co-produced with Captrain Deutschland GmbH, a leading European rail logistics company. Approximately 4,000 new locomotive drivers and maintenance personnel are trained in Germany annually.

Our revenue model for the Rail Experience platform is a monthly license per user. Our goal for 2024 is for at least 600 students to use the platform and for the education provider to pay a monthly license fee of EUR 49.90 per student. The goal for 2025 is 1200 students and for 2026 1800 students. In 2025, our ambition is to broaden the geographic use of the platform to primarily other German-speaking countries but also France.

AppLeMat

AppLeMat is another of our platforms where the revenue model is based on licensing revenue. The platform is an educational tool (Android & iOS) for children with dyscalculia and aims to strengthen the children's ability to assimilate mathematics. The project was commissioned by two prominent universities - the Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg and the University of Würzburg. The platform is developed together with Meister Cody GmbH and will be delivered to schools in Q1 2024. The price of the monthly license is being discussed at the time of writing. The market for AppLeMat is large; in Germany there are approximately 4,500 schools for grades 1–3.

Acquisitions

For us, it is important to strike a balance between organic growth and growth through acquisitions. Negotiations with two potential acquisition candidates are ongoing. These candidates would be a perfect fit for our Edtech Group.
