Wicket Gaming's subsidiary Wegesrand presents the interactive learning platform "Rail Experience"
Wicket Gaming subsidiary Wegesrand and rail logistics company Captrain present the interactive learning platform "Rail Experience" to the public for the first time at the transport logistics fair in Munich from May 9 to 12, 2023.
"Rail Experience" combines different concepts of knowledge transfer and actively supports the students as railway workers in the operational service. It is a learning platform with a workbook delivered on tablets with game elements to support the training of railway workers in operational service. The teaching content, which is focused on the training curriculum, can be tested directly in realistic situations in a walkable 3D world through realistic game elements. In this way, the content provision merges with a real-time simulation, which is complemented by concrete knowledge acquisition.
The "Rail Experience" has been designed in a generic way and can be transferred to other railway companies. Wegesrand has therefore developed a licensing model that allows the platform to be used on a user-dependent basis. In this way, proprietary versions can easily be mapped also at other railway companies. The interactive workbook can be individually adapted to companies' needs - from content to corporate design.
Rail Experience is a "learning experience platform" and turns learning directly into an immersive experience. The knowledge can be developed directly in realistic scenarios. The aim is to support future railway workers in the operational service through mobile and playful knowledge transfer in self-learning phases. All training content can be stored in the application and accessed from any location.
In order to present the content in the most general way possible, Wegesrand has started a cooperation with Bahn Fachverlag (Berlin). Their content and expertise are available as standard components in the form of teaching materials.
