"Abenteuer Hanse" wins gold in the category museum education while "Rail Experience" is awarded for its corporate/vocational skills simulations. These accolades affirm Wegesrand's global excellence in serious games and learning.

Two projects from Wegesrand have now been awarded the coveted "International Serious Play Awards" at the Serious Play Conference in Toronto. The interactive museum app "Abenteuer Hanse" of The European Hanseatic Museum Lübeck won the gold medal in the category "Serious Games Designed for Museum / Visitor Center Education". The interactive learning platform "Rail Experience" for the rail logistics company Captrain was awarded a silver medal in the category "Serious Games and Simulations Designed for Corporate/Vocational Skills".

The awards are presented by the Serious Play Conference, one of the world's leading conferences for serious games and game-based learning. The awards recognise outstanding commercial and student titles used in education or training.

Abenteuer Hanse – The European Hanseatic Museum has revolutionized its approach to education with the introduction of ‘Abenteuer Hanse.’ This innovative augmented-reality tour invites families, children, teenagers, young adults and individual visitors to embark on a playful and interactive journey through the rise and fall of the Hanseatic League. Developed as part of the “dive in program for digital interactions", this engaging experience funded by the German Federal Cultural Foundation offers a versatile and immersive alternative to traditional museum visits, showcasing how digital, story-based learning can enrich cultural exploration.

Rail Experience is an Innovative Mobile Training App for Railway Workers developed in partnership with Captrain Deutschland GmbH. It revolutionizes railway worker training by offering accessible and engaging mobile learning. This immersive application enables personalized learning through interactive content, mini-games, and realistic work environment simulations. With the ability to access training content from anywhere, and the option to network with fellow trainees, Rail Experience ensures efficient skill development for prospective railway workers.
