The hospitality segment especially is a significant actor, as their needs and demands for carpet design matches perfectly with the opportunities and products ege delivers. This shows in the growing number of supplier agreements between ege and large hotel chains.
Worldwide supply agreement
ege has recently entered into a worldwide supply agreement with Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts; an upmarket hotel management company with 90 hotels in 27 countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. With two hotel types, business and conference hotels, as well as holiday resorts, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has clearly positioned itself in the upmarket segment and stands for quality, reliability and care with a personal touch. This places high demands on the quality and design of the interior.

And that might be one of the reasons why ege is now listed as a preferred carpet supplier for the hotel chain. “Hotels often need a custom made solution that contributes to the corporate identity and makes the hotel stand out from the crowd. They wish to use the interior to send a message. Exactly that is one of our key competences”, Export Manager from ege, Morten Skibsted explains. “We have previously worked together with Mövenpick on several interesting projects with very satisfying results. A company that emphasizes quality and reliability needs suppliers, who can deliver the same and that are what we do best”.
Bettina Röösli, Director of Supply Chain Management from Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is happy with the agreement as well. “ege can provide flexible design solutions with no minimum order quantities on either standard and custom made patters – with a fast delivery of only 2-3 weeks”, she states. “And they have a very high level of service, which we appreciate”.
ege is a preferred carpet supplier for a number of other large hotel chains as well. “There is no doubt that large scale hotel chains are attractive business partners”, Morten Skibsted tells. “Not just because of the volume, but also because of the importance of being acknowledged by significant brands as reliable and qualified carpet suppliers. That’s why we are very proud of such business agreements.”
