Ethnicity transferred to carpets

With a series of expressive photographs transferred to carpet canvases, Danish–Philippine artist Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen has succeeded in creating a thought-provoking work of art. The carpets are created in cooperation with the Danish carpet manufacturer ege carpets for the Socle du Monde biennial at the Danish Museum of Contemporary Art - HEART.Multicultural impulses on carpetsIn her works, Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen often uses her own multi-cultural background as her point of departure. For the biennial at HEART, she has worked together with a team of people of varying ethnic origins.
