Comic strip following the misadventures of Murphy and everything that can go wrong without the right insurance gets its own site

CHICAGO, IL, November 21, 2011 Fans of the hapless Murphy can now  follow his insurance muffs and missteps at www.MurphysInsuranceLaw.com.  The comic strip, which launched last summer on parent site Einsurance.com, takes a lighthearted look at everything that can go wrong without the right insurance coverage. Each week, Murphy, his family and friends suffer the consequences of misinformed assumptions.

Insurance may not seem like comic fodder but Murphy’s creator Chris Thompson finds humor in situations ranging from homeowners coverage to health care, life and auto policies. “He’s kind of the Everyman of the insurance world,” said Thompson. “Murphy walks through life believing he’s covered and generally ignoring warning signs to the contrary…until things blow up in his face, sometimes literally.”

Still, through explosions, car crashes and cracked teeth, Murphy’s a man on a mission. “Insurance is complicated,” said Jassen Cho, strip and website editor and technical analyst for Einsurance.com. “Murphy’s mess ups help consumers avoid the same fate. Hopefully, they’ll get a laugh out of it, too.”

Cho added that each weekly installment of Murphy’s Insurance Law is accompanied by a podcast and an article on the featured topic. “Chris has created 13 strips so far and they’re all on the website for anyone who missed one.”
