Tea pot from The Lohe Hoard

In the autumn of 1937, five workers were renovating a basement in Stockholm’s Old Town. One morning, they found something hidden under the floor: a hoard of over 18,000 coins and silver artefacts dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries – the largest silver hoard ever found in Sweden. It had belonged to the wealthy Lohe trading family. On display at the Economy Museum from June 1.
