ESPN Founding Chairman Stuart Evey Joins Gravity Collection, Inc.
Will serve as Executive Chairman
DENVER (August 29, 2012) – ESPN founding chairman Stuart Evey has joined Gravity Collection, Inc., as the media company’s Executive Chairman.
With the experience of developing and launching the world’s leading sports network, Evey will partner with Gravity Collection CEO Harry Vested, Jr. in launching a forthcoming action sports network.
“Our vision for ESPN was to create a 24-hour service for the sports industry and it became the most successful story in broadcasting history,” Evey says. “I joined Gravity Collection because I recognize the opportunity to build an iconic action sports television network and brand catering to a segment that is often overlooked and under utilized by other outlets. I am excited to join the effort and help create what I am convinced will become the premier provider of action sports news, aggregated information and entertainment that distributes high-quality content across multiple media platforms.”
Evey was integral in the development of ESPN in 1979, leading the team that created the first-of-its-kind, 24-hour sports network that has evolved into the “Worldwide Leader in Sports”.
In addition to Gravity Collection, Evey has served as a director of companies or organizations throughout the world in the wide-ranging interests of banking, real estate, lumber, oil, security technology, and television. He currently serves as Chairman of GO Healthy nutrition products, Chairman of the Real Estate Network, and as a director of Vadium Technology.
