Today the prestigious Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) for 2012 announced that Electrolux maintains sector leader in the Durable Household Products category. Electrolux score has further improved compared to 2011.

DJSI World includes the 10% best-in-class economic, environmental and social performers among the world’s 2,500 largest companies. Electrolux is the only company in the Durable Household Products category to qualify for the DJSI World. Electrolux has been included in DJSI World every year since its launch in 1999, and this is the sixth consecutive year Electrolux is named leader in its sector.

“Electrolux ambition is to be the industry leader in sustainability. One of the ways in which we measure this is through the DJSI World. Once again being included in the DJSI World confirms that Electrolux is on the right track in the way we develop products and run our business,” says Keith McLoughlin, President and CEO in Electrolux.

The Electrolux Sustainability Strategy covers three areas:

  • Stakeholders and society: Electrolux is committed to dialog, raising awareness and building partnerships to reinforce trust in the company and develop sustainable solutions along the value chain.
