Management change in AB Electrolux
Cecilia Vieweg, Senior Vice President and General Counsel of AB Electrolux and member of Group Management, has decided to retire from Electrolux as from December 31, 2016. Electrolux has appointed Mikael Östman, currently Head of the Corporate Legal Department, as her successor.
Cecilia Vieweg joined Electrolux in 1999 as Senior Vice President and General Counsel and member of Group Management. Prior to joining Electrolux she held the position as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Volvo Car Corporation. She has also been corporate counsel at AB Volvo and Partner at the law firm Wahlin Advokatbyrå. She holds a degree of Master of Laws from Lund University.
“Cecilia has been a highly appreciated colleague and during her 17 years in the leadership team she has contributed invaluably to the shaping of the Group as it is today through a long series of acquisitions, divestitures and reorganizations. Mikael Östman joined Electrolux as corporate counsel in 2002. He has held managerial positions within Electrolux legal organization in and outside of Sweden since 2006. Prior to joining Electrolux, he has worked as a lawyer at Advokatfirman Vinge and as corporate counsel at Telia. He holds a degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics and a degree of Master of Laws from Stockholm University.
