Electrolux Professional intends to convert the facility in Louisville, Kentucky, US into a competence center dedicated to chain customers. This means that all production in the Beverage factory in Louisville will be moved.

By creating a competence center dedicated to Chain customers, Electrolux Professional will be even better equipped to grow within the chain segment, which is one of the key strategies for the Group.

In order to reduce complexity and improve profitability within Beverage, mainly within coffee products, Electrolux Professional will phase out some products and move the remaining production, currently in Louisville, to the factories in Rayong, Thailand and Spilamberto, Italy. In addition, the existing warehouse in Charlotte, US, will be consolidated into the warehouse location in Louisville creating a significant logistic hub to serve the US market.

The transfer of production and relocation of the warehouse is expected to generate yearly savings of approximately SEK 30m from the second quarter of 2022 and is not expected to lead to any material new costs.

The transfer of production is expected to be finalized at the latest during the first quarter of 2022 and will affect approximately 30 employees currently employed in the Louisville facility.
