Electrosonic to Host Technology Stream at this Year’s Museum and Heritage Show

London (May 10, 2013) – Electrosonic’s Service Solutions and Entertainment teams will be exhibiting and presenting at this year’s Museums and Heritage Show held at London Olympia, 15-16 May. The Service and Maintenance team will be exhibiting audio-visual service solutions on stand K1, whilst the Entertainment’s Technical Design team will be offering one-to-one advice in the Design Tent. Additionally, throughout Thursday 16th May, Electrosonic will be hosting a series of technology and design seminars in the ‘New Technology’ stream.

Electrosonic’s Service and Maintenance team will be available throughout the show to discuss how visitors can increase the life of their existing exhibits through the use of alternative technologies and regular maintenance and servicing. Electrosonic will be offering visitors from U.K. museums and attractions an opportunity to book either a free two hour ‘Audio-Visual Service Health Check’ or an ‘Emergency Response Call Out’.

Electrosonic offers clients a flexible service contract which can be tailored to meet specific individual requirements. Services include preventative maintenance visits, loans, replacement and spare parts, 24x7 emergency call outs, workshop repairs, on-site staff for operational support, 24 hour telephone help desk and technical support, programming and hardware upgrades and projector lamp replacement programmes.

In addition, throughout the show Electrosonic will be offering a 10% discount on all projector lamps purchased via their Lamps website www.electrosoniclamps.com. Visitors can obtain the discount code by visiting the Electrosonic booth. The offer is valid until 31stAugust 2013.

The Electrosonic audio-visual Technical Design team will be located in a pod in the dedicated ‘Designer in the House’ area. Its designers will be available to discuss potential projects and innovative technology solutions for sustainable and unforgettable attractions. Design consulting services include equipment specification, technology demos, projection geometry studies, facility impact studies, budgeting and tender specifications.

On Thursday 16thMay Electrosonic will be leading a series of technology and design seminars focused on technology, the visitor experience, sustainability and future proofing within an exhibition, museum or attraction. A programme of industry experts will present informative sessions on a range of topics including digital immersive theatre, visitor engagement, exploring how technology can be used in more sensitive ways, mobile and interactive technologies, gallery design, and innovative technology integration, using the Imperial War Museum in London as a case study. The highlight of the stream will be a conclusive round table discussion titled ‘Sustainability and Future-Proofing within an Exhibition, Museum or Attraction’.

Speakers include Martin Howe, Vice President, Global Immersion; Jonathan Howard, Lighting Designer, DHA; John Pickford, Designer, Casson Mann; Dirk Vom Lhen, Lecturer in Marketing, Interaction & Technology, King’s College London; Rob Ferguson, Design Consultant, Electrosonic; Ann Carter, Programme Director, Transforming IWM London; Radek Haspica, Senior Engineer, Buro Happold and Nick Crossland , Senior Digital Producer, Rckt.

Martin Howe, VP of Global Immersion, the digital planetarium and giant screen cinema division of Electrosonic, will be chairing the round table session in addition to presenting a seminar.
