Elekta receives orders for radiotherapy equipment for treatment of cancer valued at SEK 250 million Elekta has received several large orders from major hospitals in Europe and Asia. The total order value is approximately SEK 250 M. The orders comprise a number of Elekta Precise Treatment Systems for treatment of cancer including linear accelerator, simulator and auxiliary equipment. "We are extremely pleased to see continued strong order performance, following a record orders volume in fiscal year May 2000 - April 2001", says Volker Stieber, President of Elekta Oncology Systems. "In particular, it is good to note the resurgence in our Asian business, which included several linear accelerator units to leading hospitals in Taiwan.
