ELEKTA RECRUITS TO ITS CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT Elekta has hired Peter Ejemyr as Group VP Corporate Communications. Peter will, during the spring, work in parallel with Lars Jonsteg, who has held this position for nearly 6 years. Peter will formally resume full responsibility for Elekta's Corporate Communications department as of July 1, 2003. Peter will report to Elekta's President and CEO, Dr. Laurent Leksell. " I am very satisfied that we have been able to arrange a timely and secure succession within this very important function for Elekta", comments Dr. Laurent Leksell. Peter has previously been head of Corporate Communications at Biacore International AB, a stock-market listed biotech equipment company with global operations and HQ in Uppsala, Sweden. Peter has also gained 10 years experience as communications advisor and consultant at the Swedish consultancy firms of Kreab and Askus. Lars Jonsteg will retire this fall but will continue as head of Corporate Communications until July 1, 2003. Lars will, during the spring, relocate and work mainly out of Elekta's office in Atlanta, Georgia with an increasing focus on investor relations and corporate positioning in the U.S. Elekta has also appointed Elisabeth Natt och Dag to Information Manager at the Corporate Communications department. Elisabeth reports to the head of the department.
