Pennsylvania hospitals acquire advanced cancer management systems from Elekta
Allegheny Health Network’s investment to expand radiation oncology services at four network facilities includes Elekta’s cutting-edge products and services
ATLANTA, May 18, 2018 – Elekta (EKTA-B.ST) today announced that Allegheny Health Network (AHN), a Highmark Health Company, has purchased Elekta products and services as the complete solution for its radiation oncology needs at Saint Vincent Hospital, Forbes Hospital, AHN Cancer Institute-Butler and AHN Cancer Institute - Beaver. AHN has ordered four Versa HD™ linear accelerators, Flexitron® afterloaders for brachytherapy treatments as well as Elekta’s MOSAIQ® oncology information system and Monaco® treatment planning system.
This acquisition is part of an exclusive agreement signed in 2014 to equip AHN medical centers with sophisticated cancer treatment equipment and information management systems from Elekta.

The Cancer Institute’s radiation oncology program has a formal affiliation with the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins, one of the nation’s 41 comprehensive cancer centers designated by the National Cancer Institute, for research, medical education and clinical services.
