Turkey’s Medicana Health Group invests EUR 10 million in Elekta cancer treatment equipment

ANKARA, Turkey, May 11, 2016 – Elekta (EKTA-B.ST) announced today that Medicana Health Group, one of Turkey’s largest private health care networks, invests more than EUR 10 million to purchase sophisticated equipment and software to treat cancer.

The deal includes Elekta’s Versa HD™ and Synergy Platform linear accelerators as well as MOSAIQ® oncology information systems and Monaco® treatment planning systems.

Elekta’s sophisticated cancer treatment equipment will initially be installed in hospitals in Ankara, Bursa, İzmir and Istanbul. The order was booked in the fourth quarter of Elekta’s fiscal year (2015-16) and the first delveries are expected in May, 2016.
