Element Mobile Announces New Cell Site is in Service in Central Wisconsin
Element Mobile customers in Waupaca and Portage County will experience improved wireless phone and data service due to the addition of a new cellular tower south of Waupaca Chain O’ Lakes, west of Wisconsin Highway 22.
John Steele, Element Mobile director of engineering and network operations, said the new tower will increase data and network speeds and expand coverage for those living near the Waupaca Chain O’ Lakes.
“Element Mobile is excited to shore up the coverage on the popular Chain O’ Lakes for area residents and visitors,” Steele said. “We are committed to improving the reliability of mobile coverage in this area. By having better wireless coverage, it will ensure safety and communication needs are met.”
The Waupaca Chain O’ Lakes site is located between six other cell tower locations in Waupaca, Waushara and Portage County. The new tower will specifically provide better coverage along Waupaca Chain O’ Lakes, Highway 22, as well as the townships of Dayton, Belmont, and Lanark.
This is the first tower Element Mobile has built in 2013. The company continues to expand its coverage area by building more towers in Central Wisconsin throughout the year.
