COMPTEL CORPORATION'S JANUARY-MARCH 2005 RESULT

Elisa Corporation's subsidiary Comptel Corporation has today reported the
following result for the period of January-March 2005:

The turnover of Comptel Group in the first quarter of 2005 was EUR 14.5 million
and grew by 15.8 percent compared to the first quarter of 2004. The profitability
of the Group was lower than in last year; the operating margin was 16.0 per cent
of the turnover (20.5 per cent). This was because of increased resources in R&D
and higher project-related costs compared to last year. The order backlog on
March 31, 2005 was EUR 19.3 million (EUR 23.2 million), while the backlog on
December 31, 2004 was EUR 20.0 million.

The balance sheet total on March 31, 2005 was EUR 51.2 million (EUR 54.6
million), of which liquid assets amounted to EUR 22.6 million (EUR 30.8 million).
Comptel Corporation paid EUR 8.3 million dividends in March 2005. The cash flow
from operations in January - March was EUR 3.0 million (EUR 3.9 million).

Mr. Sami Erviö (M.Sc (Eng), MBA) was appointed as the new CEO of Comptel
Corporation effective on March 1, 2005.

Future outlook

There have not been changes in the market outlook or risks during the first
months of the year. The active prospect base of Comptel is strong and there are
premises for full-year turnover growth compared to 2004. Despite the lower
profitability during the first quarter Comptel estimates the profitability of the
rest of 2005 to rise to Group's target EBIT-level of 20 % of turnover. However,
there will be significant differences between quarters depending on the labour
intensiveness and progress, as well as the amount of third party licenses in the
project base contributing to the turnover.

Further information on Comptel Corporation's result and growth prospects are
available in the company's interim report for January 1 - March 31, 2005,
disclosed today.
