ELISA, TELIASONERA AND FINNET AGREE MOBILE INTERCONNECTION FEES AND DAMAGE
COMPENSATION

Elisa has signed an agreement on new mobile interconnection fees with TeliaSonera
Finland and Finnet Networks. Elisa's mobile interconnection fee will be 8.4 cent
per minute as of 1 June 2005. Previously the fee was 10 cent per minute.

Elisa and TeliaSonera have also agreed on ending the legal proceedings, which
started in February 2005, regarding the claim on restitution and compensation of
mobile interconnection fees and the patent action brought by TeliaSonera in
November 2004. As part of the overall solution, the parties have agreed that
TeliaSonera Finland will pay EUR 30 million compensation to Elisa. Elisa has also
reached an agreement over mobile interconnection fees regarding Finnet Networks,
and agreed to pay EUR 2 million compensation to Finnet Networks. The compensation
will be paid during the second quarter.

Lower interconnection fees will slightly reduce Elisa's revenue. However, it is
estimated that the revised interconnection fees will have no effect on Elisa's
result.

"In our opinion, this is a good solution. It gives predictability to the sector,
which in fact is based on investments," states Executive Vice President Jukka
Veteläsuo, who is in charge of Elisa's network business.
