ELISA EXTENDS THE SAUNALAHTI SHARE EXCHANGE OFFER PERIOD

Elisa has decided to extend the offer period in a share exchange offer to
Saunalahti Group Oyj´s share holders to end on October 11th, 2005. Except for the
extension of the offer period, the terms and conditions of the Offer remain
unchanged. As provided for in the terms and conditions of the Offer, Elisa i.a.
retains the right to further extend or discontinue the extended offer period.
