ELISA'S PERSONNEL NEGOTIATIONS COMPLETED

The personnel negotiations concerning operations in Finland, which were initiated
within Elisa on 3 May 2005, were completed.

The negotiations on personnel reductions concerned managerial and supervisory
tasks and support functions. The negotiations did not apply to the personnel in
direct customer interface.

At the beginning of the negotiations the reduction need was anticipated to be 80
people. As a result of these negotiations, the number of personnel will decrease
by 73 people from managerial and supervisory tasks and support functions. These
employees will be supported via different means, for example, by organising
outplacement training.

As announced earlier, the executed personnel reductions form part of the
streamlining measures for the years 2005 - 2007.
