ELISA’S PERSONNEL NEGOTIATIONS CONCLUDED

The personnel negotiations, initiated on 25 August 2003, regarding
specified corporate staff functions and sales operations of Major
Accounts have been concluded. The last negotiation took place on 6
October 2003

The functions which underwent negotiations currently employ
approximately 650 people, of whom around 350 in the corporate
staff and around 300 in the sales. At the beginning of the
negotiations, the personnel reduction need in these functions was
announced to be a maximum of 120 people in the autumn 2003. As a
result of the negotiations, the amount of permanent staff in these
functions will reduce by 115 people, of which 70 will be
dismissals. In addition, 20 fixed-term employments will be
terminated.

The personnel reduction was based on productivity grounds and
relates to the reorganisation of tasks.
