ELISA SUBSIDIARY YOMI PLC HAS SOLD ITS ELISA SHARES

Elisa's subsidiary Yomi Plc has announced that during the period of 2-3 November
2004 the company sold its Elisa shares, a total of 556,870 shares, on the
Helsinki Stock Exchange. The sale price totalled EUR 6.4 million, on average EUR
11.47 per share. The transaction will have no impact on Elisa's 2004 financial
result.

According to Yomi's stock exchange release of 4 November 2004, the transaction
relates to the restructuring of Yomi's balance sheet as well as tax planning for
the year 2004. With the sale Yomi gained a tax benefit of approximately EUR 4
million. This benefit can be exercised in the year 2004 taxation and over the
forthcoming years.
