ELISA TO SELL ESTERA BUSINESS

Elisa sells Estera Oy's security business to ISS Security Oy and building
automation business to Estera's operative management. The transaction with ISS
Security is a preliminary agreement scheduled to be completed in November 2005.
The impact of the transaction on Elisa's fourth quarter financial results in 2005
is estimated to be positive. The terms of the transaction will be determined for
good after the transaction becomes materialized.

Elisa has classified Estera as a non-core business activity. By divesting this
business Elisa implements its strategy to streamline the corporate structure.

Estera is a national company which provides real estate IT solutions to its
customers. The business includes systems for building automation, energy
management and technical security, as well as related telecom solutions. In 2004,
the company's revenue amounted to approximately EUR 19.8 million, EBITDA was EUR
1 million and EBIT EUR 0.1 million. At the end of 2004, the company employed 166
people.
