Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority has approved Elisa’s Anvia acquisition

ELISA STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 8 APRIL 2015 AT 10.10 A.M.

According to the Finnish Competition Act, Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (FCCA) has approved the transaction in which Elisa gains a control over Anvia. Elisa’s ownership in Anvia is 26.8 per cent and Elisa is the biggest shareholder in Anvia.

FCCA set as a condition for the acquisition that the overlapping consumer business broadband networks, as well as the related approximately 3,200 customer agreements to be divested in Vaasa, Mustasaari and Laihia areas in Western Finland.

The approval enables Elisa and Anvia to cooperate and thus supports the development of the competitive ICT services to corporates, municipalities and consumers in the Anvia region.
