RADIOLINJA’S PERSONNEL NEGOTIATIONS COMPLETED

Elisa Corporation’s subsidiary Oy Radiolinja Ab has completed the
personnel negotiations concerning the whole company on 9 June
2003. The company announced on 29 April 2003 the start of
personnel negotiations based on financial, production and business
restructuring grounds. The aim of these negotiations was to reduce
the number of personnel by 250 man-years, which formed part of an
extensive programme to enhance operations and cut costs.

As a result of the personnel negotiations the number of
Radiolinja’s employees will decrease by approximately 290 persons
due to lay-offs and other arrangements such as resignations and
terminations of fixed-term employment relationships. A maximum of
120 employees will be given notice. The reductions concern the
whole company and all personnel groups. With these measures the
company’s annual savings will be approximately EUR 12 million.

At the beginning of the negotiations the number of Radiolinja’s
personnel was approximately 1 750. Following the decisions made
and other personnel arrangements, the total personnel capacity of
the Radiolinja Group will be reduced by 250 man-years this year,
which also was the original objective of the negotiations.
