SOON COMMUNICATIONS MERGER WITH ELISA ENTERED INTO THE TRADE
REGISTER

In accordance with the merger plan approved by their Boards of
Directors last May, Soon Communications Plc merged into Elisa
Communications Corporation on 31 December 2002. New shares of
Elisa Communications Corporation were not issued in connection
with the merger, since Soon Communications Plc was a subsidiary
fully owned by Elisa Communications Corporation.
