STATUTORY LABOUR NEGOTIATIONS AT ELISA'S BUSINESS CUSTOMERS UNIT BROUGHT TO A
CLOSE

The statutory labour negotiations at Elisa's Business Customers unit, initiated
on 27 February 2006, were concluded today.

The negotiations concerned the reorganisation of the Business Customers unit, as
well as staff cuts in the unit, excluding the customer advisors and team managers
at the contact centre services.

Elisa's redundancy support and the associated assisted redundancy scheme applied
during and after the negotiations will reduce the number of employees by 112. In
addition, approximately 70 employees had accepted Elisa's redundancy support
solution before the statutory negotiations began.

In addition to statutory redundancy protection, Elisa will also employ other
redundancy support measures such as financial support and outplacement training
for those whose employment is terminated.

The staff cuts are a part of the previously announced efficiency-boosting
measures for the period 2005-2007.
