Elkem ASA - New share capital registered

Oslo, 30 April 2021

Reference is made to the stock exchange announcement on 26 April 2021 regarding the successful completion of the private placement raising gross proceeds of NOK 1,891 million by issuing 56,456,034 new shares (the "New Shares") in Elkem ASA (the "Company") (the "Private Placement").

The share capital increase pertaining to the issuance of the New Shares in the Private Placement has today been registered with the Norwegian Register of Business Enterprises (Nw. Foretaksregisteret). Elkem ASA's new share capital is NOK 3,197,206,890, comprising in total 639,441,378 shares, each with a nominal value of NOK 5.
