Elmia Subcontractor – partner to the world’s biggest

Elmia Subcontractor has signed an agreement with French Midest, the world’s largest trade show for the subcontractor industry.

“Now we’re not only the gateway to Scandinavian industry, we have also built a bridge with the rest of the world,” says Karla Eklund, Project Manager for Elmia Subcontractor.

Scandinavian subcontractor companies now have a greater opportunity to profile themselves to the French market. This is thanks to a business agreement signed between the world’s two largest dedicated trade shows for subcontractors – French Midest and Swedish Elmia Subcontractor.

“We’re proud of this co-operation and view it as an excellent platform – both for further strengthening our Swedish subcontractors on the international market, and for inviting the world to come to us,” says Eklund.

Exhibitors at Midest have access to 40,000 visitors from 70 countries, and the fair is an excellent opportunity for companies to introduce themselves to the major French market.

“Many companies look to Germany or Asia when they want to establish themselves on international ground. But France is a very exciting market, with a large automotive industry and future investments in renewable energy and wind power,” says Eklund.

The co-operation also means that both Elmia Subcontractor and the Swedish subcontractor industry will be given help promoting itself in France. Karla Eklund believes this will strengthen Elmia Subcontractor even more.

“Having a fair like Midest as a partner is a seal of quality. It means we’re a player to be reckoned with internationally.”

The dates for this year’s Midest are 19-22 November.

With over 1,700 exhibitors from 46 countries and almost 40,000 visitors from 78 countries, Midest is the world’s largest subcontractor trade show. The show is held each year in Paris, this year on 19-22 November.
