InnoDex at Elmia Subcontractor – a unique venture for innovation and product development
Products, materials and designs that are unique in the world. Lectures by top names in design and development. The latest technology. Experts on site to give specific tips and advice. All this and much more will be waiting for visitors to Elmia Subcontractor’s new forum, Subcontractor InnoDex.
Subcontractor InnoDex is a joint venture by the Swerea Group, Almi Företagspartner in Småland, the magazine Uppfinnaren & Konstruktören and Elmia Subcontractor. It is a forum for inspiration and knowledge, with exhibitions and lectures about new materials, innovative technologies and creative processes.
“We want to create a forum for the industry’s product developers, engineering designers and surface designers, and I can promise that the result will be unique,” says Karla Eklund, project manager of Elmia Subcontractor.
At Subcontractor InnoDex visitors will be able to see, handle and feel masses of unique and newly developed products from both Sweden and abroad. Creative processes will also be on display – product developers will present their work from concept to 3D-printed product, and surface designers will demonstrate their creative skills.
“This will absolutely give the extra innovative push that’s needed,” comments Pontus Fontaeus, a car designer whose client list includes Land Rover, Ferrari, Volvo and Scania. “A think tank for all of us who want to help lead the way and be at the cutting edge of developments with regard to production methods and new materials. I think this will be one aspect of the fair that no one will want to miss.”
Elmia Subcontractor’s mottos is business benefit, and the concept applies just as much to Subcontractor InnoDex. In addition to exhibitions and lectures, there will be specific advice on visitors can best protect and develop their ideas to achieve profitability.
“The goal is to encourage companies to find new markets and dare to invest in new innovations,” comments Louise Oscarsson of Almi Företagspartner in Småland. “It’s about daring to take the next step so you can become just that little bit better.”
