Fair grows by over 40%

Elmia Welding & Joining Technology is not only fully booked – it’s also bigger than ever. The stand area has grown by over 40% since the fair was last held. When the fair opens its doors, all the leading suppliers will be in place.

Following the highly successful premiere in 2012, there is tremendous interest in exhibiting at Elmia Welding & Joining Technology 2014. With over six months to go until the fair, the planned exhibition area is now fully booked despite a large increase in area, from 1,700 square metres in 2012 to 2,400 square metres in 2014.

“The entire hall is fully booked, and we will also be using some of the neighbouring hall where Elmia Automation is held,” explains Lina Kåvestam, project manager for the fair.

The fair organisers are therefore now fully focused on working on the programme for visitors to the fair.
“The fair is a goldmine for anyone involved in welding and joining technology in any way. All the leading suppliers will be here and we are actively working to put together an attractive conference programme. There will be a mixture of longer seminars and open lectures on subjects relevant to visitors. Visitors will be able to find out about news and topical industry issues,” says Lina.

FACTS

Elmia Welding & Joining Technology is the Nordic region’s biggest trade fair for the welding and joining industry and is arranged in cooperation with the Swedish Welding Commission. The fair is held at Elmia in Jönköping, Sweden. The fair was first held in 2012 and attracted more than 6,000 visitors. The next edition of the fair will be held on 6–9 May 2014, at the same time as the Elmia Automation trade fair.
